Therapy can help when life is difficult,
it can also help make a bearable life better
Why come into therapy?
Choosing to come into therapy takes courage. People who choose to do their inner work create greater possibilities for their own healing and psychological growth.
Our modern world can be full of uncertainty and complexity, it’s a hard time to be a human being, as the world speeds up and asks so much of us, it’s not surprising that sometimes we don’t feel great. Sometimes these feelings are fleeting and other times they can have us feel stuck, even looping as we try to find ways to ease our own suffering.
Clients may come to heal aspects of their past that have leaked into their present, whether known or unknown to them. They may come to ease mental health symptoms, and they may also come with the motivation to grow and know more of themselves, to have fuller and more meaningful lives.
All of our lives involve suffering and joy; much of our wounding happens in relationship and so much of our healing happens in relationship too.
Therapy is helpful because it offers an attuned, skilful and present relationship that encourages you to grow in awareness, to disorganise old ways of being that no longer serve you and to find new, more authentic and easeful ways of being in the world.
If you’re interested in hearing about the different therapeutic approaches I use and how they might support you, you can explore more about that here.
